What to Bring

Leash or Kennel: Upon arrival, please keep in mind that ALL pets MUST be on a leash or in a crate/kennel/carrier to minimize contact with each other. Dr. Carlos strongly enforces this rule for the health and safety of all our patients and clients, we have a large variety to loan out for your convenience.

Medical Records: Please bring vaccination and medical records if you are new to CVH.

Check in

You will be greeted by our friendly, knowledgeable staff who will guide you to our scale to record your pets weight and then escorted to one of our five spacious exam rooms.

There is no need to spend time in our waiting room where other patients and clients will be coming and going. We strive to minimize and eliminate your interactions with potentially sick, contagious or aggressive animals.

We have children's books, coloring books and occasionally have treats or stickers for kids. Dr. Carlos will often include young children in the exam of your pet so your child can learn something from the office visit.

Once in the exam room, our staff of Veterinary Technicians will get a detailed history on any ongoing problems or concerns. If there are no current concerns, we will discuss our recommendations for vaccines and preventative care for your pets specific age and species.

Doctor Exam

Full physical exam- the doctor will learn many things about your pet from a thorough physical exam, which is very important since your pet cannot speak to us to let us know that they are in pain or that something might be bothering them.

Diagnostics may be recommended by the doctor - this is a case by case basis and not all appointments will require diagnostics.

Final doctor recommendations and instructions- Dr. Carlos is typically very thorough and will spend ample time answering any questions you may have.

Check Out and Payment Options

Our staff will review all instructions for home care and medication if required and schedule a follow up appointment if needed.

Payments are due at the time of services- We do accept all credit cards, checks and cash.

We do not accept Care Credit

Follow Up Care

Our clinic has gained a strong reputation for excellent follow up care! Depending on what your pets appointment was for, you will be called to check on the progress of your pet.

Many clients have told us they wish their human doctor would follow up and be as thorough with their care!
